7:00 pm Big Bingo
There will be approximately 18 regular games, early bird games and the jackpot – All games will be held at the Rec. Centre. A canteen will be open during play.

Friday, August 8


9:00 am Harvey Olympics
It’s time for activity! In honor of the 2008 Olympics, we’ll be having friendly competition of our own! Look for soccer and a 3-on-3 basketball competition.

7:00 pm Miss Harvey Pageant
We wish everyone the best of luck and hope everyone has fun! Come out and support these girls as they enter their final year of high school. Contestants: Mica Novak, Erin Colwell, Jacklyn Jones

7:30 pm Teen Dance
Admission - $5 for those 18 and under (down to those who have just completed grade 6). Come out with your dancing shoes on from 7:30 – 11:30 pm for a good time! Mock drinks and a canteen will be available. DJ will be Allan Nason.

6:30 am Early Bird Breakfast
Come one, come all for an excellent start to your day! Pancakes, eggs, bacon, toast, juice, tea and coffee – all for $5! Served at the Curling Club.

10:00 am Parade
The parade theme this year is “Christmas in August.” The parade will start at 10:00 sharp! Judging will take place at 9:30. Categories are: Best Theme, Best Commercial, Best Non-Profit and Best Walker.There are prizes to be won for 1st place in each category. Lots of candy to catch!

11:00 am Fair Grounds Open
LOTS TO DO! Carnival Games! Dunk Tank! Fish Pond! Cotton Candy and Snow Cones! Candy Apples! Colouring Contest! Pony Rides! Petting Zoo! Paintball! Scavenger Hunt! Jump Castles! Face Painting! Mock Jail!

11:00 am Canteen
All your tasty favorites! Come and have a tasty hot dog with all the fixings, delicious onion rings or some drool-worth French fries

11:00 am Craft Show and Sale
Something for everyone! Doors are open from 11 am - 4 pm Admission - $1.

11:00 am Dinner
Traditional baked bean dinner with potato salad, ham, homemade rolls and pies for dessert—held in the Rec. Centre upstairs.The best meal you can have for $8 (children under 6 - $4)! Served from 11 am – 1 pm.

11:00 am Harvey Settlers Display
Come and learn about the voyage and life afterward of the original settlers of Harvey in 1837. Lots of things to learn about our history! As well, Dr. Tim Patterson will be giving a public lecture on genetic genealogy, with particular attention paid to the Harvey area. The lecture will take place at 1:30 pm in a designated area of the Rec. Centre.

11:00 am Christmas Mommies
Feel free to drop off your clothes donations at the Christmas Mommies bin, located in the lobby of the Rec. Centre. We appreciate your help of those in need!

Noon Lions Bingo
Get your dobbers ready for more bingo fun

Noon Horse Pull
Come watch the famous horse pull! Admission - $5 for adults, $3 for children.

1:30 pm Swimming
We’ll have a certified lifeguard at the Harvey Lake Shore to supervise swimming. We’ll have games for children ages 6-12, so be sure to bring a swimsuit (and a life jacket, if needed!)

4:00 pm Supper

7:30 pm Country Show
It’ll be a great night of country music from Debbie McCann and her band, Barry & Troy McLaggan, Wanda Grant, Noel Nason and Cora, and Carol Gillet! There’ll be a tasty barbecue to follow! Admission - $7 for adults, $4 for children 12 and under

9:00 pm Adult Dance
Admission - $5. Be sure to have your ID with you! DJ will be Trevor Smith
