New Brunswick Forestry Information
The New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources and Energy maintains large
databases of forestry information on its provincial forests. The information is
stored on Geographic Information Systems
(G.I.S. for short) which include a combination of electronic maps and databases which contain information
about the features located on the maps.
Harvey High School Woodlot
St Anne-Nackawic Pulp Company Ltd has agreed to allocate a parcel of land to the
Harvey High School to use as a forestry demonstration site and for teaching purposes in
woodlot management courses offered at the school. The approximate location of the woodlot
has been determined, however the precise boundaries of the woodlot have yet to be established
The preceding page showed land use North of Harvey Lake and the location of the Harvey High
School woodlot. More detailed information can be obtained by using G.I.S. software. A link is
provided below to forestry exercises using data for the area north of Harvey Lake that includes the
Harvey High School woodlot. If your are viewing this page from a CD-ROM, links are provided to the data,
