2021 Flower Baskets of Hope

Harvey Rural Community

On January 1, 2023 the Village of Harvey joined with the LSDs of Prince William and Manners Sutton, and portions of Kingsclear and Dumfries to become Harvey Rural Community.  Please go to the new website at www.harveyruralcommunity.ca for more information.

You may have noticed our beautiful flower baskets throughout the Village and our gardens in the Welcome signs, at the Trail, at the Lakeshore, at the Cenotaph, in Davis Park and along the tracks behind the Post Office.  These have all been donated or sponsored by members of our community.  This year we chose yellow flowers because it is the colour of Hope and given life with the pandemic, we thought we would spread some hope through our gardens and baskets.  Since you may not stop and read the placards as you go by, we are posting them on the Photo Gallieries page with their baskets for you to see safely.   http://www.village.harvey-station.nb.ca/photo-gallery/2021-flower-basket...

We need to thank our Beautification Committee and in particular Cathie Ayer and Penny Lester, for making these baskets possible.  Special thanks to Cathie Ayer for all her work in the various gardens around the Village.  We also have a stellar volunteer basket watering crew to thank including Richard and Sandra Corey, Penny and Bill Lester, Bill Ross, Mike and Dan Fletcher, Adrian Davis, Tommy MacDonald and summer students Ethan Greer and Ben Grant.
